Environment panel never pushed carbon tax CBC May 16, 2012

National Roundtable on the Environment CEO David McLaughlin talks about the government shutting down his organization. John Baird told the House of Commons that the Roundtable produced 10 reports calling for a carbon tax, but Mr. McLaughlin says that's not true, stating the Roundtable produced 3 reports calling for carbon pricing. There's a difference. Mr. McLaughlin also said that Peter Kent asked them one year ago for specific reports, now just released, and acknowledged they were uniquely placed to offer the government good advice. A year later, the groups is axed.
